Washington to the Midwest-August 23, 2008
Our last visit to Mt. Ranier. This is the east entrance and it was worth it to leave by the scenic route.

Montana: Big Sky Country
Vehicle of Choice: Pickup truck-usually with dogs in the bed (ATVs are allowed on the road too); Goose's favorite hunt: bunnies (there are HUGE jack rabbits too); Guns are not allowed in hospitals (signs clearly state this on the doors and the security is packing); micro breweries are open 4-8 pm and you are allowed only 3 "tastings" of full pints;
Washington: The Pacific North Wet
Vehicle of choice: Toyota Prius (Oregon is the Subaru Outback); Goose's favorite hunt: chipmunks; NBA?: Sold to.... Oklahoma?; Drink of choice: Coffee-From January to mid-June it rained and was 50*, no joking, you need coffee to stay warm
Wisconsin: America's Dairyland
Vehicle of choice: Tractor (there was a warning on the radio that it was harvest time, so watch for tractors on the road); Goose's favorite hunt: Deer; Packers fans: In denile that Favre plays for the Jets this season (you can buy party plates at the store for either team)
New Mexico: Land of Enchantment
Vehicle of choice: Huge trucks with red mud caked on and off road flags; Goose's hunt of choice- Stray cats. There are tons of them here; Beware- Drinking and driving. There are checkpoints that stop every car.
